While winter is over, you may not be ready for that full-on summer glow just yet! It’s a tad awkward to jump from pale to golden tan overnight, so a good transitional phase is the perfect way to ease into being a bronzed beauty. That’s what Spring Radiance is all about– for when the cold weather skin dryness is gone but you’re mostly red from the allergies, and for when it’s not as gloomy outside and it’s more complementing to wear brighter colors. Here are some of my Beauty Tips On Getting That Spring Radiance:
- Green concealer
Green combats red in the color wheel, so the same logic can be applied here. Use green concealer on the spots where you have the most redness to balance out your skin tone. My majorly red areas are around the nose and on my chin! Cover up with regular concealer or foundation. You will see a difference, I promise you! The color wheel doesn’t lie!
- Mattifying Primer and Powder
I have very oily skin, which is starting to come out again this Spring (winter kept me cold and dry enough to keep the oiliness at bay). I have a primer that is applied OVER the foundation but before powder, and it is life-changing because it mattifies your foundation instead of putting a preventive layer underneath that you end up sweating off. Translucent powder is also good for locking your makeup in place!
- Colgate® Optic White® RADIANT™ Toothpaste
Part of your radiance comes from your smile, and having white teeth is a huge plus! What I love about the Colgate® Optic White® RADIANT™ toothpaste is that it’s enamel-safe so you can use it every day, and it safely whitens the inside AND the outside of your teeth!
I purchased mine from Kroger (and I’m there once a week! I love Kroger!)
- Bright Colors
Using bright and refreshing colors can help bring out your natural radiance. Some current trending hues for Spring are peach and pinks!
- Soft and Natural Falsies
I secretly call these allergen-catchers. I’ve sometimes removed these after a full day of wear and they’d have accumulated dust and pollen and all that gunk that didn’t make it into my eyeball. Natural-looking false eyelashes can make your eyes appear brighter and more awake!
- Bronzer and Highlighter
This is the perfect way to add that subtle glow and illumination. I feel like I look much more radiant with a gentle sweep of bronzer where I contour, and some highlighter on the high parts of my face. It seriously makes a difference!
