And just like that, summer is gone! I sure hope you crossed off everything on your bucket list and you’re ready to hit the books if you’re headed back to school. When I was still in college, I remember mostly looking dressed up and having a bit of makeup on. Not only did my stress blemishes give me the need to cover up, but putting some sort of makeup truly helped me with motivation and eagerness to show up in class! I basically spent ALL DAY at school too since I was part of the dance team AND held a part-time job at the computer lab. I pretty much had to look presentable all day, but in a quick and affordable way. This was basically my daily look in college– perfect for anyone on-the-go or needing to hit the snooze button! It’s still my daily makeup look to this day. Here’s my 5-minute make up routine:
1. Neutrogena® SkinClearing® Liquid Makeup
Neutrogena SkinClearing makeup covers up and helps prevent breakouts while you wear it. How genius is that? I most definitely have acne-prone skin, and for someone who wears makeup a lot a product like this is an absolute lifesaver. It’s Micro-Clear technology, which was developed by dermatologists, is an oil free formula that controls shine and won’t clog pores. I like applying it with a damp sponge.
2. Neutrogena® SkinClearing® Blemish Concealer
For concealers, and most especially for a natural look, I usually pick just a shade lighter than my skin tone. I apply concealer OVER my foundation, and on my forehead, bridge of my nose, under the eyes, the sides of my nostrils, the ends of my lips, and the acne on my chin. The Neutrogena SkinClearing Blemish Concealer provides great, natural-looking coverage! I blend it out seamlessly with my foundation either using a sponge or a concealer brush.
3. Neutrogena® SkinClearing® Mineral Powder
Powder is an ABSOLUTE must-have, and a SkinClearing one is even better! Neutrogena SkinClearing Mineral Powder has a compact mirror AND a two-sided applicator to fully achieve that fresh, shine-free look! I initially like applying with a big face brush, and toting the product with me in my bag so I can touch up through out the day if needed.
4. Neutrogena® Nourishing Eyeliner
For that ultimate natural look, avoid using the blackest of black eyeliner. Opt for a brown one instead, and this Neutrogena Nourishing Eyeliner in Spiced Chocolate is the perfect shade to give those eyes that subtle pop. It comes with a sharpener and smudger on the other side, too!
5. Fill Brows, Contour, and Mascara
This is entirely optional, but I do all of these steps pretty quickly. I use contour powder and blend it under my cheekbones, a couple of quick sweeps of tinted brow gel, and two coats of mascara can easily upgrade your look.
6. Neutrogena® Moisturesmooth Colorstick
Stick with a shade of lip color that’s pretty close to your natural lips! It’s easy to do with Neutrogena MoistureSmooth Color Stick since it gives off a sheer finish WHILE keeping your lips hydrated throughout the day. I’m using the shade Sweet Watermelon.
And here’s the finished look!
I absolutely love how EASY and natural this makeup look is! I purchased my Neutrogena products at my local CVS.
You can even make the most of your shopping trip with these Ibotta offers (only good with CVS purchases):
