Happy Holidays! I apologize for slacking, and I hate that this happens every year. I’ve been blogging for a while now but I still can’t seem to be able to juggle work, holiday festivities, Sky being off school, and holiday shopping around December. I’m alive and sane for the most part, though? That’s a good thing, right? Plus The Vintage House in Carrollton has got me covered on a few gifts while visiting Nan! Seriously, if you’re local, you should check it out because I guarantee you that you will find something, even for that someone who’s hard to find gifts for. And go say hi to Nan while you’re there! The DC girls stopped by “The Pink House” and shot our new Diversity Chic installment.
For those of you who don’t know what Diversity Chic is, here’s a little tidbit:
“Diversity Chic is a collaboration of Dallas bloggers showcasing current fashion trends on a variety of skin tones, hair colors, body types and heights. Each month we will feature a new trend tailored to our personalities and style.
Our focus is to explore the world of fashion in its unique, diverse, and stylish manner – one trend at a time.”
This month’s theme is obvious, right? I love that velvet is trending, especially for the holidays! I’m not so much of a sparkly fabric-wearing person, nor do I own that much holiday-colored clothing, but I can get down with some (or all the) velvet!!! Aligned with me and Valery‘s winter theme of “extra or bust”, I had to use my new heeled over-the-knee boots (which Valery also has hahaha) that we got for about $30 on Black Friday. SAY. WHAT?!
And y’all, this Kendra Scott “Cheska” Adjustable Lariat Necklace in Rose Gold is PERFECTION. I mean it. Stop by The Vintage House and get it for yourself NOW. And then knock out whatever Christmas shopping you have left to do. Trust me on this!
