Is it just me or is Texas taking this “April showers bring May flowers” a little too seriously? All I know is that we were lucky enough to get some sunshine this past weekend to shoot this (the wind was a bit too aggressive but I’ll take it over a thunderstorm) and that I’m excited to be part of this Diversity Chic installment!
For those of you who don’t know what Diversity Chic is, here’s a little tidbit:
“Diversity Chic is a collaboration of Dallas bloggers showcasing current fashion trends on a variety of skin tones, hair colors, body types and heights. Each month we will feature a new trend tailored to our personalities and style.
Our focus is to explore the world of fashion in its unique, diverse, and stylish manner – one trend at a time.”
This month, we’re focusing on spring accessories. You can take any simple outfit and with the right colors, you can look spring-ready in an instant! We have Nan and The Vintage House to thank for letting us style their Vera Bradley bags and Kendra Scott necklaces (*cough* Happy Mother’s Day to me someone get me that Starla necklace *cough*). Nan is always so sweet and has the best stories every time I see her– she is the best! I’m also slightly obsessing with the backpack because 1. it’s a backpack, 2. it’s quilted, and 2. it’s in my favorite color at the moment. If you look close enough you’ll notice that my nails are the same color! If you’ve followed along my style journey for a while you know that accessories is quite the struggle for me, but I’m slowly getting the hang of it. I’m finally understanding that it’s kinda nice to let the accessories do the talking once in a while. Here, I’ll let them tell you a story:
Vera Bradley Quilted Amy Backpack in Sycamore Cloud Grey: The Vintage House | Kendra Scott Starla Rose Gold Necklace in Iridescent Drusy: The Vintage House | TopShop Lace Front Romper: ThredUp | Denim Jacket: Target | Tan Lace-Up Gladiator Sandals: Charlotte Russe
