No, it’s okay. You can say it. My outfits are usually considered “safe.” One of my resolutions this year is to take more fashion risks, and I’m planning on pushing my boundaries throughout the year. If you can’t tell, I’m already trying to add more color to my wardrobe (yay me, now where’s my trophy) so that makes me feel like I’m on the right path… you know, in my own world full of #fashiongoals (I’m not trying to impress anybody but myself, just so we’re clear on that) Styling my own outfits is just my favorite form of expression… well, aside from being sarcastic. I absolutely LOVE clothing items that make a statement and this Kissed With Gold Skirt from Shabby Apple is the perfect bold piece that speaks for itself. It’s perfect for weddings, dinners, brunch, tea parties (quick, someone invite me to one!) You can even dress it down with a casual word tee. I secretly love feeling like a princess in my outfits and this skirt makes me feel like royalty. Brocade never goes out of style (You got that James Dean daydream– I’ll stop right there) Oh, and I love how unique this King Palm Necklace (also from Shabby Apple) is. It’s a bold accessory that you can use in both formal and casual outfits. Also, speaking of fashion risks, have you noticed my obsession with white ANYTHING? White shoes, white heels, white purses, white clutch, white Keds… Is it the new nude? 😉 Sorry if this post is more photo-heavy than the usual. Actually, no, I’m not sorry. Stephanie takes amazing photos and I can’t simply let these photos go unseen. How beautifully lit is her studio? It’s in the super hip Bishop Arts District in Dallas! And of course being the typical Dallas fashion blogger, we had to take some photos around the area as well.
