While shooting this preppy plaid look with Stephanie, we took a quick pause to browse through the shots she’d taken. I noticed that I sort of resemples… a french school girl. I said “I almost look like Madeline.” After Stephanie sent me the photos, I uploaded one of my favorite shots on Instagram (note the hashtag):
It cross-posted to Facebook, and this conversation happened:
Not sure why I felt the need to explain the title, but there you go. Thanks Stephanie not only for the beautiful photos but for the title inspiration 🙂
You might also like to know that I got this skirt for about $3. Yes, THREE. DOLLARS. Back in the day, everything they sold in the Aeropostale store had their brand name written all over it. Literally. Not sure if you ever noticed that, but I can promise you that it’s true. Several people had “AERO” obnoxiously written across their left boob. A few years ago I went in there to find a plain shirt and alas, it did not exist so I stopped going overall. Well the Bethany Mota stuff that they’ve been releasing are too cute to resist, so late last year, I gave Aeropostale another shot. I’m so glad they’ve changed their inventory! Not completely because I still see the AERO merch, but the other clothing lines they have make up for it. They also have crazy amazing sales! When I chanced upon this plaid skirt, it was $3.99 on clearance, plus they were offering an additional 30% off! How insane was that? So now every time I’m at the mall I just HAVE to stop by Aeropostale– I can’t let myself miss out on the chance of finding the next preppy plaid skirt deal.
