Being 28, I’ve had my fair share of birthday celebrations, bar-hopping, girls night out, and the like. The morning after is not so much my favorite, but over the years I’ve found a few ways to help it become bearable at the very least! Here are some of my Recovery Tips for a Night Out:
– Eat Well Before Drinking
This is of utmost importance, and it makes such a huge difference. Eat just enough to absorb all the alcohol you’re going to be drinking, but not too much to where you start feeling unwell. Drinking on an empty stomach causes your body to absorb the alcohol quicker, ending with a massive hangover the next day. Don’t forget to eat!
– Never Too Hungover Prevention
Drink a bottle of Never Too Hungover Prevention before your night out. It is sugar free, gluten free, and low calorie (7 calories per serving) and is made of quality vitamins and is rich in amino acids, antioxidants, and minerals. Don’t get TOO excited and chug your first drink. From my experience, doing that will result in a buzz hitting you like an internal slap in the face. Take your time and enjoy your company!
– Makeup Wipes
Have makeup remover wipes handy on your bedside table for you to use RIGHT before you sleep. Trust me, you won’t want to wake up next day with eyelash glue or waterproof mascara all over your eyes. Make it easier on the morning version of yourself!
If you go out for drinks, make sure you don’t have an early morning the next day. You will need ALL the sleep that you can get, and sometimes even getting your full 8 hours in just makes it so much better.
THE NEXT DAY:
A little life hack: fresh fruits and especially citrus ones make it easier to power through a hangover of any caliber. Sometimes it ends up being the only appetizing thing– and they’re actually good for you!
