When I started blogging, I was mainly focused on parenting life hacks. I wanted to get the best quality of anything with the least amount of work and effort. My son finally started school full time and while I’m starting to get the hang of things, I’m still mainly working on a decent eating schedule. I try to make the most of my kid-free time and get the most work done while my son is in school, so for the first couple of weeks, I’d lose track of time and just work through mealtimes. That was NOT good for my body. I finally made a concrete schedule where I included meals and snack time so I don’t deprive myself! Of course, since I still try to work during the day so I can spend quality time with my son when he gets off of school, I aim for quick meals and snacks! Here are my top 5 favorite on-the-go snacks:
This is one of my favorite snacks and it’s so easy to just grab and go! I LOOOVE beef jerky and Simple Truth Beef Jerky is so tender and flavorful. Honest Tea is also a good way to perk yourself up during my midday slump. It’s “Just A Tad Sweet” which makes it the perfect drink to pair with the jerky! Both are organic, so you can feel good about snacking up on these. I picked these items up from my local Kroger:
