It’s so much harder for me to wake up in the morning when it’s cold out, and to me that would be fall, winter, and spring. To top it off, I’m such a night owl that if I was given the opportunity to be up all night every single day, I would immediately take that chance. However, adulthood is calling and that includes being a mom, taking my son to school, and working. It took me a while to get into the groove of things, but I’ve finally found the best routine for me to jump start my day. This is what Monday-Friday is like for me, and if I don’t stick to it, I tend to be more sluggish and unproductive. Here’s how I’ve upgraded my morning routine, especially if you’re a night owl:
1. Warn Yourself To Wake Up
I’m a completely defiant person, so I tend to refuse to get up when I’m supposed to wake up. If you’re a snooze person like me, give yourself a warning. I like to wake myself up about 20 minutes before I actually have to get up. This means I can sneak in one more nap, or just lay in bed until I muster the energy to get off the bed.
2. Use Morning Friendly Beauty Products
Most beauty products have a more targeted use these days. I like to use anything with Vitamin C or sunscreen in the morning. Key words like “brightening” are great for AM use to look more awake!
3. Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant
I’m at the gym Monday-Friday, and I cannot live without this! Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant offers 48 hours of odor and wetness protection plus added skincare benefits of Dove ¼ moisturizers and NutriumMoisture for softer, smoother underarms. I put this on before leaving the house, and I also pack it with me in my gym back for my post-gym shower.
4. Pack For The Gym
The gym is my ultimate alarm clock. I’m not fully awake until I’ve done some cardio and lifted some weights. I’ve noticed that when I skip my workout, I end up feeling way more tired the rest of the day. I make sure I pack my gym clothes, a towel, my pre-workout drink, some toiletries, and of course, my Dove Advanced Care Antiperspirant!
